First-mover advantage is the advantage gained by the initial occupant of a market segment. This advantage may stem from the fact that the first entrant can gain control of resources that followers may not be able to match.

The term "first-mover advantage" is a stock market term I'm using in a different way to describe an advantage which I think both SPQ and NOT have in the area play Ring of Fire.

I am conjecturing that SPQ and NOT will grab the headlines when the next set of strikes occur. (FWR will win here too.) The Ring of Fire will be associated more closely with Noront and Spider Resources than any of the other good juniors in the area. SPQ was the first in the James Bay Lowlands (JBL); NOT was the first with a strike - Eagle 1.

It is unlikely they want to gain control of resources; in fact, Richard Nemis and Neil Novak have made it clear that they want joint ventures to share the risk, and I assume the wealth, in exploration activities.

I expect that all McFaulds' juniors will see upside share price pressure when SPQ and NOT strike. However, logic dictates that the SPQ and NOT share prices (and FWR) will have the strongest upward movement. First Mover Advantage applied to share price.

This is one reason why I have focused my investing in SPQ, NOT, and FWR and not BMK, TME, and other juniors. My investing philosophy only, and I'm not suggesting others take this approach.
