Noront Resources is a mineral exploration company whose activities, since its incorporation, have focused on the exploration for gold, base metals and has at times during its history, extended its attention to the exploration for diamonds and industrial minerals in Canada. Since its formation in 1983, Noront Resources has been an active resource explorer throughout Ontario, New Brunswick, Quebec, Inner Mongolia China and Mexico.

Recent News: On August 14, 2007 Noront along with Freewest Resources (TSX-V: FWR) announced the commencement of the first phase of diamond drilling. Freewest has contracted with Forage Orbit Garant Drilling to drill a minimum of 1,500 metres of NQ sized core in at least six holes.
