CALGARY, ALBERTA--(May 30, 2008) - Torch River Resources Ltd. ("Torch") (TSX VENTURE:TCR) (FRANKFURT:WNF) announced today that the Board of Directors approved the issue of 370,000 share options (the "Options") to certain directors, officers, consultants and employees of Torch at an exercise price of $0.16 per share. The Options vest immediately and expire on May 29, 2013.

Torch is a company listed and trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, symbol: TCR.
