NEWS - Torch River Announces Further Drill Results at Red Bird

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 25, 2007) - Torch River Resources Ltd ("Torch") (TSX VENTURE:TCR) (FRANKFURT:WNF) is pleased to announce that it has completed its 2007 ten diamond drill hole program on the western extension at its Red Bird property in British Columbia. The western extension is an area of the property which was never previously drilled. A total of 9,000 feet of drilling was completed and the camp at Red Bird has been demobilized.

The results of assays on the fourth diamond drill hole (DDH) are as follows:

Including 38 meters of .103% Mo equivalent

Note: Equivalent molybdenum percentages

were calculated using prices of $32 and

$3.60 per pound of molybdenum (Mo) and

copper (Cu)

respectively.
