NEWS - Probe Mines Commences Deep EM Geophysical Program on McFauld’s Lake Project

Posted by: AGORACOM on November 29, 2005 08:08AM

Toronto, November 29, 2005 – Probe Mines Limited (TSX-V: PRB), is pleased to announce that a deep probing electromagnetic (EM) geophysical program has commenced on its 100%-owned McFauld’s Lake Project in the James Bay Lowlands. The survey will cover over 2000 acres of the property centered on the recent high-grade copper VMS discovery, which returned a 7.8m section grading 3.1% Cu. Abitibi Geophysics of Val d’Or, Quebec has been awarded the contract and will use the new InfiniTEM system. The InfiniTEM system has successfully identified VMS deposits to over 300m depth and was designed to penetrate deeper than conventional time domain loop surveys. Probe is confident that the program will be successful in providing better definition of the known copper zone, as well as outlining new VMS targets.

Data from the geophysical program will be used to plan an intensive diamond drilling program to begin in the new year. Drilling will focus on the VMS discovery, and is designed to expand the known mineralization along strike and at depth. In addition the program will be used to test additional conductors. VMS deposits tend to occur in clusters, and other geophysical anomalies in the area represent a strong potential for the discovery of additional VMS deposits.
