Since the announcement the term "business resolution" has always stuck in my craw and I believed the resolution had nothing to do with money, at least direct payment. Now RG says "which fully reflects the
financial results of all transactions announced prior to the end of January 2008"
I continue to believe that the settlement is not a "financial" resolution. What exactly it is I am not sure, but the words are chosen too carefully not to mean something. Hopefully, they got something of substance out of the settlement even if it isn't direct cash payments.
The problem is we may never know.
