TORONTO, ONTARIO, Jan 09, 2007 – Ontex Resources Limited (“Ontex”) announced today that it has raised gross proceeds of approximately $130,000 through the sale of 928,569 common shares. Each common share was issued at a price of $0.14. All common shares issued under the private placement constitute “flow-through” shares (as defined under the Income Tax Act (Canada)) and all proceeds from the sale and issue of such shares will be used for eligible expenditures in connection with the further exploration and development of Ontex’s mineral properties. All common shares issued under the private placement are subject to resale restrictions under applicable securities laws, which shall expire on April 30, 2007.
