NEWS - Northern Star Retains Wakabayashi Fund LLC, to Provide Institutional Introductory Relations Services

VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC - Feb. 29, 2008) - Northern Star Mining Corp. ("Northern Star" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:NSM) is pleased to announce it has retained the services of Wakabayashi Fund LLC, located in Tokyo, Japan, with offices in New York City. Wakabayashi provides public companies with a market capitalization of $100,000,000 and higher with institutional introductory relations services. Wakabayashi specializes in expanding public companies shareholder base by targeting portfolio managers, financial analysts and institutional brokers, located in Asia and North America.

The Company has signed a 6 month agreement with Wakabayashi. The Company will pay Wakabayashi $10,000 USD monthly and grant 300,000 shares at $0.99.
