The following response was provided by the manager of Development and Resources for Legend International.
- Legends Lady Annie/Lady Jane phosphate deposits exist within the same Beetle Creek formation as Incitec Pivots Duchess deposit. The phosphorite units within this formation are known to have one of the worlds lowest levels of Cadmium and other heavy metals. Uranium is present in low levels to be of no economic or environmental significance. Lady Annie rock (beneficiated product) has been analysed in the early 70's by IMC laboratories in Florida and was found to be of an excellent quality for granular fertiliser production. Legend will soon verify/validate these results with its own metallurgical testwork for a Pre Feasibility study -
