The proposed change would give Mongolia a minimum 51 percent stake, regardless of who found the reserves. But while the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party wants the government to hold that stake, the Mongolian Democratic Party says that private Mongolian companies should hold it. Mongolia did experienced economic growth of 9.9 percent last year. Either way it should be an interesting election.
