NEWS - BSM Receives Repeat $285,000 From Major Construction Company; 200 Additional Units to Be Rolled Out Across Fleet

Posted by: AGORACOM on February 14, 2008 08:15AM

WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO -- Feb. 14, 2008 - BSM Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GPS) (http://www.bsmtechnologies.com) a leading provider of GPS-based AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) fleet tracking and management solutions is pleased to announce today that it has received a another repeat order from a major construction company based out of Ontario. For security reasons, the identity of the Unnamed Major Construction Company ("UMCC") will remain confidential.

This order to rollout 200 additional units throughout the UMCC's fleet will be worth $285,000 over the course of the contract. This brings the total amount of units rolled out to the UMCC to 700.

The "UMCC" previously had incorporated 50 SentinelFM units in its fleet as part of a Phase 1 pilot program first announced January 18, 2006. Upon successful realization of pre-determined performance metrics during phase 1, the UMCC implemented an additional 450 units of SentinelFM. Some of those metrics include robust reporting, two way communications with the onboard intelligent vehicle tracking device and ability to control security, abuse of vehicle idling duration and other cost and safety efficiencies. BSM's ability to already deliver on these requirements served as the basis for its original selection by the UMCC.

The company also came to the conclusion that curving the abuse of vehicle idling and utilizing the efficiencies of the SentinelFM unit will enable the UMCC to recoup its capital outlay in 14 Months due to the savings in fuel. A second added value the company will realize is that by reducing idling, the UMCC will also reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

"This is second major repeat order this week and we are again very happy to report our continued success with the UMCC as they roll out and expand SentinelFM to the rest of their fleet," stated Nick Cirella, President & CEO of BSM Technologies. "The UMCC conducted vigorous testing of the functionality of the SentinelFM and experienced significant savings in gasoline costs over that time, while helping the environment in the process. Over the last two years, the SentinelFM passed every test conducted. We look forward to rolling out more of our SentinelFM product to their fleet in the months and years to come.";
