slump in auto industry and ABB

Posted by: idoc on July 07, 2008 01:09PM

much time has been spent on conjecture over upside of possible naval contract; again we see individuals on this board concentrating on future developments, R&D, etc which if turn out to be positive are a long way from being successful commercially (increased profits and increased stock price). Enough of this!!

With the slump in the auto industry especially in American plants where Braintech has some traction, what can we expect in near term purchases of our product? The manufacturers may try to save $$ with less capital expenses; however, does the robot technology and usage save them $$ by having less requirements for employees, benefits? Are we going to see more systems this year than last in this enviroment. How is this environment going to affect our relationship with ABB? Why are there no comments from the company on how ABB values Braintech currently? finally, I see that ABB does not have exclusive relationship with Braintech for "vision technology" in their robots. How significant is the competing companiies for ABB's favor and contracts?

As far as I concerned, the future is now! Contracts and developments with Miccrosoft, the navy the governmnet have not yielded any $$ yet and when do we expect them to?
