VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Mar 14, 2005 -- Braintech, Inc. (OTCBB: BRHI), a leading provider of vision guided robotic software announced today that it has received a purchase order from its strategic alliance partner ABB that brings ``eVF`` built solutions into a non-automobile category. eVisionFactory(TM) (eVF) is the ingredient software platform of ABB`s TrueView(TM) Vision Guided Robotic System.
The order from ABB calls for a TrueView Vision Guided Robotic System to be integrated into the end-user`s transmission line, their first utilization of this technology. The commitment underscores the value of Braintech`s relationship with ABB as TrueView penetrates new systems applications in North America.
ABB, Inc. of Auburn Hills and Braintech operate together under a strategic alliance whereby ABB uses Braintech vision guidance technology inside of its TrueView Vision Guided Robotic system.
Commenting, Braintech CEO Owen Jones said, ``We have now expanded into an exciting new area of adaptive automation and have achieved product performance for major automotive, Tier and other manufacturers. Demand for TrueView, driven by our eVF ingredient brand software, is increasing as end-users discover how our vision guided robotic solutions allow them to operate their production lines more efficiently.``
