NEWS - BARD RECEIVES PETROGRAPHIC REPORTS

Posted by: AGORACOM on September 24, 2007 06:49PM

Bard Ventures Ltd. (“Bard” or the “Company”) is very pleased to provide the update of operations for the Lone Pine Property (the “Property”).  The Property is located approximately 15 kilometers north-northwest of Houston, BC, and is situated in the Omineca Mining Division.

Bard has recently received a detailed petrographic report on 18 drill core samples taken from the Property, which was prepared by Dr. Eva Schandl.  In the report Dr. Schandl concluded that circulating hydrothermal fluids in the rocks were highly saline as the fluid inclusions contain halite daughter minerals, and that phase separation (possibly due to boiling) had occurred.  She also suggested that the quartz + orthoclase + anhydrite veining seen in the Quartz Breccia Zone area probably represents a high temperature core of potassic alteration.  These features are all important attributes associated with economic Mo-Cu deposits.  To summarize, Dr. Schandl indicates that “The lithology, alteration and style of mineralization in the suite of samples from the Lone Pine Mo-Cu porphyry prospect are comparable to porphyry-type Mo-Cu deposits on the global scale.”  Bard intends to continue using petrographic examinations to develop a more robust alteration model, and this together with the interpretation of the historic data, geological mapping, 3D Induced Polarization (IP) and magnetic surveys, which encompasses all of the areas of potential mineralization on the Lone Pine Property, has led to identifying areas of high prospectivity for drilling.

The Company further announces that a 10,000 meter diamond drilling program has commenced on the Property.  Initially one drill will be used and a second may be added to expedite the program.  This drilling will follow up on historic results and the results of the 2007 drilling program.  The best drill hole from the 2007 program (BD-07-02) returned 0.07% MoS2 over the entire 489.4 meters of bedrock cored, including a 231.4 meter interval of 0.095% MoS2.

Shareholders are invited to visit the Company website www.bardventures.com for updates on the drilling as well as pictures of the drill core as it becomes available.

Exploration work on the Property is being conducted under the supervision of Qualified Person Jim Miller-Tait, P. Geo.
