SAGUENAY, QUEBEC - (June 13, 2008) - Arianne Resources Inc. ("Arianne")(TSX VENTURE:DAR)(FRANKFURT:JE9)(OTCBB:DARUF ) announces the start-up of its exploration works on the Opinaca project (Opinaca, Lac H, Komo and Wabamisk properties), James Bay, Quebec.
New polymetallic targets: Striping is currently taking place on previously defined geophysical targets (InfiniTEM and IP) on the Lac H property (SOQUEM & Arianne). The property is adjacent to the Opinaca property and contains felsic rocks that are favorable to the creation of VMS-type polymetalic deposit. Some of the conductors identified are linked with humus geochemical anomalies (ground) in Cu, Zn and Ag and could represent targets for an eventual drilling campaign.
Drilling: Encouraged by the results obtained during the last 2008 campaign (see April 10, 2008 press release) where one drill hole (OPI-08-10) returned 14.58 g/t Au over 5.4 m (from 85.15 m to 90.55 m along the hole), including 28.24 g/t Au over 2.75 m, the Company wishes to further investigate the Chino area of the Opinaca property. Additional drilling will therefore take place on this showing towards the end of July. Thereafter, depending on the surface results, some of the geophysical anomalies outlined on the Lac H property could also be drilled.
Follow up on helicopter geophysical survey: In the month of August, the Komo and Wabamisk properties will be the object of a prospection campaign to follow up on the previous MAG and VTEM helicopter geophysical survey that took place in April 2007 where many electromagnetic anomalies were identified.
