Don't forget to get rid of all those OTC-BB stocks cluttering up your RRSP account. Canada Customs and Revenue Agency ("CCRA"), is disallowing OTCBB stocks in RRSPs and RRIFs.
Even though it is quite acceptable to have some "foreign content" in one's RRSP, OTC-BB stocks - even Canadian issuers - have got to go. Shareholders have until December 31, 2001 to get rid of them. You can sell them for cash or transfer them to a non-RRSP account in exchange for cash. And if you don't, you will be taxed on your holdings of such stock.
