Richard McCloskey, chairman of Baffinland Iron Mines Corp. bought 35,000 company common shares through Matachewan Consolidated Mines Ltd. at prices ranging from 88¢ to 91¢ on Oct. 6, 2008, bringing these total holdings to 836,123 shares.

Compton Petroleum Corp. director John Preston sold 100,000 company common shares at prices ranging from $3.40 to $5.10 on Oct 2 through Oct 6, 2008, bringing these total holdings to 2,336,501 shares.

Crescent Point Energy Trust director Paul Colborne 24,561 trust units prices ranging from $20.87 to $21.35 on Oct. 8, 2008, bringing these holdings to 25,568 shares.

Methanex Corp. bought back and canceled 435,000 company common shares from Sept 2 to Sept 30, 2008.

T. Nigel D. Hares, Talisman Energy Inc.'s executive vice-president of International Operations (West), bought 16,900 company common shares at prices ranging from $11.46 to $12.30 on Oct. 6 and 7, 2008, bringing these total holdings to 124,149 shares.
