My recent Biz Murphy cartoon about the NOT boys getting "in a lather" was all about being careful what you wish for. In some ways, it is entirely possible that they forced Nemis' hand for a news release (NR) on the SGS debacle. Pity. Played into the hands of the shorts.

There's no substitute for good due diligence (DD). Unfortunately, a well-lathered rumor mill weakens DD and can produce strongly negative results.

What about Spider Resources then? It's closely tied to Noront. We saw that on Friday with regards to share price.

For the smart SPQ investor who has done their DD, you know about SPQ McFaulds' land claims, VMS and MMS geology potential, outstanding shares, SEDAR releases, management, KWG association, FWR association, Freewest Option drilling program, Novak's work with native peoples, Novak's corporate VP responsibilities with Noront, and more.

You also know that we're talking about an area play. Spider Resources is part of the "Ring of Fire". Aerial surveys, ground based geophysics, and the drill bit have found significant, SIGNIFICANT potential in MMS anomalies on the Freewest Option claim. These anomalies are part of a potential 10 km+ run of MMS from Noront's Eagle Two, through FNC claims, all the way up into 100% owned Freewest claims.

All of this translates into potential mineral tonnages of billions. And this translates into large potential capital gains for the smart investor.

For the new investor in Spider Resources, this is an incredible opportunity. Expectations are for an NR in the next week or so. Novak has had core samples into the Actlab people for some weeks now. Quality control and quality assurance are in place. And previous assays from the MMS drilling on this Freewest Option lead us to think that we'll see good results containing PGEs, chrome, and nickel and copper.

Finally, I don't really need to wish for anything with regards to Spider Resources and its drilling on the Freewest Option. My due dilligence, however, tells me that there is a strong possibility of excellent results from current drilling.

How it will affect SPQ share price is anyone's guess. The market is fickle. But I think Neil Novak's hard work will reward the patient investor.
