SPQ and the mining chess match

So what's going to invigorate SPQ? Given the paltry number of shares traded today, the share price is going nowhere - unfortunately. However, I strongly believe that SPQ is "gold in the bank" - or more appropriately, "gold in the ground".

What we have here is a mining chess game, and SPQ is in the middle of it. If you have ever played chess, you know it's a game of both strategy and tactics. Strategy is about "global view" of the board; tactics, piece vs. piece.

The most important part of the chess board is the middle. The player who gains the middle has the strategic advantage.

The Ring of Fire (ROF) is very large, and probably can be divided into numerous mining chess boards. At this time, however, SPQ is in the middle of a significant (and I mean significant) mining chess board. It, along with its JV partners, have a strategic land position in the southern part of the ROF (closer to civilization and roads).

Tactic wise, Neil Novak decided to work with his good friend Mac Watson to drill a known entity, an anomaly which already had good drill results. He's exploiting his position on the mining chess board. A very smart move.

So the chess game has just got started, and the smart players, Novak, Nemis, and Watson have seized a central position. And they've done it quickly. But chess is a long game. We've yet to get to the middle part of the game, which is tactically very long. And the "end game" - an actual mine - is a long ways away.

Do we - SPQ investors - need a mine? Will we be around for the end game? Unlikely. As the drill holes accumulate (tactics) along with assays, the share price will move up. For the next 12 months - part of Richard Nemis' JV strategy - we'll find ourselves in the beginning of the middle game. This is when (I believe) we'll see some of the largest increases in share price.

If you've ever watched a chess match, it's intense. It requires a great deal of smarts, patience, and hard work. But the rewards are very gratifying when you win. And so will be your investment in SPQ - very gratifying. Which means we'll win!

I apologize in advance for being so positive. It's a quirk of my nature.
