As noted previously I sent an email to the Ontario Government Minister of Aboriginal Affairs asking a couple of questions with regards to the "permitting" of aboriginal lands for Platinex Mining.  I was told by a source within the Aboriginal Affairs Office that the Minister (Michael Bryant) would quickly send me a reply email.

I haven't received anything to this point.  I assume that Mr. Bryant is working very, very, very hard on this issue.  (really?)

I will resend my email.  However, it should be noted by others who are not up to speed on this issue, that Neil Novak (SPQ) and Richard Nemis (NOT) have a very good working relationship with our Native Peoples.  We don't want a government minister screwing things up.  We saw what confrontations with First Nations people did to the negotiations at Voisey Bay.  It poisons everything.
