VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 18, 2008) - Saturn Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SMI) ("Saturn") & Swift Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SWR) ("Swift") (the "Companies"), announce that an initial 25 coal prospecting permits have been received on behalf of the Companies from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources. The Permits are for lands located south and northwest of the recent discovery made by Goldsource Mines Inc. and cover 19,200 hectares (192 sq. km., map attached, please click the following link to view: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/smi918swr.pdf).

Comfort letters giving priority sequence ("first in line") for an additional 215,040 hectares have been received on behalf of the Companies (news releases dated May 12, June 25, & July 17, 2008). The 25 coal prospecting permits issued represent the initial tranche for which comfort letters were issued.

Permits issued grant the holder the exclusive right to explore for coal within permitted lands.

Barry Ryan, PhD, P.Geo and Krzysztof Mastalerz, PhD, P.Geo (the Companies' Qualified Persons as defined by NI 43-101) will develop an exploration program for the permitted ground. Saturn will be the operator of the exploration project and the costs of exploration will be divided on the basis of 60% Saturn and 40% Swift as per the Joint Venture Agreement entered into between the Companies (news release May 28, 2008).
