oleminer....Mining is a heavily intensive energy operation and is a major driver in the profitablity of the firm and mine itself. You can't just pop up new power stations overnight as many of them need to go through formal regulatory processes and then be built.
The RSA earlier this year had rolling blackouts and I believe they are currently using some type of energy conservation program amonst it's residents. That and the above are why they have made those comments.
