Open up to the bigger picture, an upswing is not mecessarily daily upward movement, it is a trend over time to a higher price level. Under your thought process every trade should trade up not just the closing price for the day to be called an upswing.
Lets sit back and enjoy the ride up the NOT hill to higher price when the results start rolling in, hopefully this is an upswing (maybe it is, maybe not) and if not I will sit and wait and hope for the best.
