TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2007) - George A. Brown, CEO of both Duran Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: DRV) and MacMillan Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MMG), is pleased to announce that the Longyear 44 diamond drill contracted from Iguana Drilling SAC of Lima, Peru arrived at the Pasacancha Property in Ancash, Peru on November 7, 2007 and began drilling Pasacancha Hole 1 on November 10, 2007.
The Phase 1 drill program for the Pasacancha Silver Target consists of a systematic section of six diamond drill holes ranging from 350 to 550 metres in length. Three holes are planned to test the target from the east side and three holes from the west side.
After completing Pasacancha Phase 1, the drill will commence the Aguila Phase 2 drill program at the Aguila Copper-Molybdenum Porphyry Target. The Aguila East Target Phase 1 Holes 4 and 5 will be completed to their original target lengths of 550 to 600 metres. Nine additional holes are planned to continue the exploration of the Aguila West Contact and Aguila Main Targets.
The exploration work as reported has been planned and is being supervised by Mr. David Bending, P.Geo., and a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101. All samples will be delivered to the Lima laboratory of Inspectorate Services Peru SAC, a certified laboratory, for preparation and analyses. The companies have Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols in place which include the use of duplicate samples submitted to outside laboratories, the inclusion of certified standards and blanks with our sample submissions, and the secure care and custody of samples.
