I think the term "shortage" is a bit of a misnomer as there is currentlyy enough silver; it is the price people are willing to pay at these levels that is what is going on. Dont get me wrong as this helps to pin together the disconnect between paper and physical buyers.

It is very positive to see this many people looking for physical after such a substantial price drop, this forces clearing houses ( Bank of Nova Scotia DT T.) to buy for the interested parties that wish to purchase physical, which takes more off the market.

I also think that such a substantial price drop over such a short period of time confusesd dealers and may make them hesitant at times like this as they get confused re: price direction and unsure of value relative to fixes.

There is no shortage of silver, just a dearth available at these prices.
