Not quite Thomas Paine but these are the times that try the souls of KRY Longs.

1. There is a lot of gold in the ground at Las Cristinas. No one doubts it.
2. The people of Bolivar state want the the mine including the illegal miners and the political bosses.
3. KRY has been a stellar business citizen of VZ and Canada and VZ are economic allies.
4. The mine means money for the VZ government. The way Chavez is running the country he needs all the money he can get his hands on.
5. Sanz has been very positive lately as No Bear just pointed out.
6. No official from the envirnmental ministry will be making this decision. It they could have done it they would have done it months ago.
