Unfortunately, greed is pernicous. This is particularly true with regards to those that have nothing to do with the creation of the wealth. As always, economic progress and wealth are directly attributable to those with the foresight and courage to recognize potential gain and the willingness to assume the risk of loss of capital.

Conversely, those that for lack of ability through lack of funds, or courage to assume risk, wish to do so without the risk of subsequent inability to access the gains should they occur.

Any time that any society loses sight of the need for potential gain to be directly proportional to willingness to assume risk, the society undermines the entire premise of risk/reward and in so doing impinges on the societys potential for growth.

Such at present is one of the factors overhanging and thereby burdening the SP potential of specifically Connacher and in general, the entirety of the Oil Sands !
