Mr. Benedetti, an alumnus of the University of Colorado and the Colorado School of Mines, has been a central figure in the mining industry of Panama since the early 1980's. Mr. Benedetti has been the President and owner of Transworld Exploration, S.A.---a privately held mineral exploration company which owns the Remance Gold Mine in Panama . He is a Director and Officer (and also a former President) of Minera Cerro Quema---a company which is 60% owned by Glencairn Gold Corp. Since 2000, he has been the Administrator of Minera Petaquilla, S.A., a consortium of TeckCominco, Imet Mining and Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. Minera Petaquilla controls the Petaquilla Copper Project (1.4 billion tons of 0.47% Cu). Julio also was a Director and past President of Cabo Mining Enterprises Corp. (currently Cabo Drilling Corp.).
Mr. Driver, Chartered Accountant, is a partner with Davidson & Company, Chartered Accountants. Mr. Driver was a partner with Driver Anderson, Chartered Accounts, from 1982 until the firm merged with Davidson & Company in March 2002. Mr. Driver has been a director and officer of numerous public companies over the past ten years.
Mr. Burgos is an alumnus of Texas Tech University, and the Colorado school of mines. He has served as the Director General of the Panamanian Government's Mineral Resources Department, President of the Mining Policy Commission of Panama (where he was involved in the approval of amendments to the mining code of Panama), Executive Director for the Cleaner Production Center of Panama, and in numerous other capacities for many international recognized mining companies and organizations including the Central America Commission for Environment and Development, and the First Geology and Mining Conference of Panama.
Mr. Abraham is the co-founder and Chairman of PanAmerica Capital Group Inc. and the author and editor (twenty-two years) of the Insider Report, an international geopolitical investment newsletter with subscribers in more than fifty countries. He serves on the boards of companies that operate in North, Central, and South America, as well as China. Mr. Abraham has been an investor in and investment banker for natural resource companies for more than thirty years.
Mr. Wasylyshyn has worked as a geologist in the global resource sector for over 27 years. Prior to 1990, he worked in Canada but has dedicated the last 15 years to exploration in Latin America where he was instrumental in several important gold discoveries. He has served on the boards of a number of public companies and is President of Gold-Ore Resources Ltd.
Steven D. Symms, former United States Senator from Idaho, was born in Nampa, Idaho, on April 23, 1938. A graduate of Caldwell High School, Steve earned a Bachelor of Science Agricultural degree from the University of Idaho. After serving three years in the United States Marine Corps, Steve ran for and won a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 1972. In 1980, Congressman Symms won election to the Senate upsetting a long-term incumbent and was re-elected in 1986, defeating a 10-year sitting governor. Before his January 1993 retirement from the U.S. Senate, Steve served on the Budget, Finance, Armed Services, Environment and Public Works and joint Economic Committees.
Mr. Abraham has held various management positions within the international investments and advisory services industry over the last decade. With his father, Larry H. Abraham and other investors, Patrick founded PanAmerica Capital Group in 1998 and has managed the company since inception. Mr. Abraham has overseen all aspects of PanAmerica's operations, developing it into one of the largest and most respected independent financial services firms in the region. Mr. Abraham has negotiated private equity and debt financing for over 35 publicly listed companies with an aggregate investment of over US$45 million. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Mr. Abraham now lives with his wife and children in the Republic of Panama.
