The whole situation is such a mess right now....everyone is just guessing and reach for straws to come up with something positive to enlighten themselves. No matter what the government in ecuador comes up with, the plain fact is that ARU will never have the punch it once did....this situation has spooked too many investors (especially new ones). If it ever goes to $7 again you'll be very lucky....in the meantime it will slowly drift lower and lower and lower.
I was one of the lucky ones that bought this stock back in 2003 a few months after it had started trading...i jumped out a bit early (second run in 2006) but made my money and ran......the situation down there is so unsettling......and it will continue to be.
