African Gold Group, Inc: Manso Atwere Yields 22 Meters of 2.36 g/t Au From Footwall of Artisanal Pit

Posted by: AGORACOM on November 07, 2007 11:26AM

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 7, 2007) - African Gold Group, Inc., ("AGG" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AGG) is pleased to report the assay results from 52 channel samples that span 104 meters of an exposed footwall within an excavated artisanal pit at its Manso Atwere concession, in Ghana.

TABLE 1 CHANNEL SAMPLE ANALYSIS

                           Interval with           Grade (g/t) and
Anomaly                   sample numbers   width of mineralization
1                    J1001-J1004 (0 - 8m)         1.14 g/t over 8m
2                  J1016-J1027 (30 - 52m)        2.36 g/t over 22m
3                  J1047-J1052 (88 -100m)        2.73 g/t over 12m

In addition, two grab samples that were collected from the artisanal miner's stock pile of ore, that was ready to be crushed and washed, returned assay values of 10.2 g/t Au for sample J1059 and 20.9 g/t Au for sample J1060. (Visit link to see attached photo depicting stockpile, crusher and sluice: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/AGG1107A.jpg). A total of 60 samples were taken from this exercise and all samples were prepared and analyzed by SGS Laboratory located at Bibiani, Ghana.

The Manso Atwere concession forms the southern extension of the Company's 456.2 sq. km Asankrangwa Holdings. The consolidated Assankrangwa footprint consists of five distinct concessions that collectively contain a gold-in-soil anomaly that measures 24 linear kilometers in strike length. The north western flank of AGG's Asankrangwa Holdings (AGG's Assuowunu concession) is contiguous and immediately on strike with Keegan Resource's recently discovered Esaase gold deposit, which is generating considerable interest and excitement both within the region and within the financial marketplace (visit link to see regional location map for greater detail: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/agg1107B.pdf).

As stated in the Company's Press Release dated October 25, 2007, the Manso Atwere concession has been the subject of much local (Ghana) interest and speculation due to a four year court battle over title to this coveted ground. The legal proceedings were convened in Ghana and recently resolved. A direct consequence of the protracted battle for control of the license was to unintentionally create a dramatic increase in local artisanal mining activity within the concession. The hilltop pit that has been excavated by the artisanal miners measures approximately 110 meters in length x 35 meters in average width x 30 meters in average depth and represents a volume of approximately 115,000 cubic meters of excavated material. (visit link to see attached photo depicting partial view of pit: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/agg1107c.jpg).

The benefit to AGG from this extensive artisanal activity is the exposure of the geology and the ability to sample at subsurface to a depth of approximately 30 meters. AGG took advantage of the exposed face of the hanging wall by taking 2 meter composite channel samples across the 110 meter span of the pit at an elevation of approximately 0.5 meters above the floor of the pit. (visit link to see geology map illustrating the profile of the hanging wall of the artisanal pit: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/agg1107d.jpg).

The geotechnical portion of this press release has been reviewed and approved by Ben Adoo, C. Eng., a Qualified Person.
